The courage and determination to materialise and fulfil one's ideas....
We may have ideas but they only remain as mere ideas if I do not do anything about it.Change has to be brought about only if I am going to work for the changes to take place.
Three most philosophical questions a King once asked his subjects:
Who is the most important person??
What is the most important thing to do?
When is it the most important time?
No one could give him an answer until one day, he decided to travel incognito and sought shelter at the house of a poor farmer in the suburbs.
In the middle of the night, frantic knockings were heard on the door and an injured man dashed in when the old farmer opened the door. The man begged to be hidden from sight as he claimed that there were debtors after his life. The old farmer calmly agreed and allowed the injured man to hide in his shed. When the debtors came knocking on the farmer's door demanding if he had seen the injured man, the farmer said to them, " No, I have not seen anyone at all. I have been sleeping all the time until you came knocking on my door." After making a huge racket, the rowdy gang of debtors left the farmer's house.
The King came out from his room and asked the old farmer, " Aren't you not afraid that the debtors would search the place and find the injured man. If they found him, wouldn't your life would be in danger???"
The old farmer replied evenly," When I saw the injured man, my first instinct was to save him as he needed my help desperately. I had to act immediately otherwise he would have died at the hands of the debt creditors."
The King, upon hearing that, suddenly realised that his three questions that had puzzled all his officials and subjects had all been solved.......
Who is the most important person??
You are.
What is the most important thing to do?
Where help is most needed.
When is it the most important time?
Now. Act immediately.
